Happy birthday Steve Jobs!

Today Steve Jobs turns 56. Happy birthday! Steve Jobs played a major role in the history of Pixar. He bought The Graphics Group (later to be named named Pixar), from Lucasfilm’s computer graphics division in 1986. He intended for this division to be a high-end graphics hardware developer, but failure in selling the Pixar Image computer caused him to have a contract with Disney that would have this division make computer-animated films. Failure does lead to success! 😀 So really all of what Pixar is today, is all because of Steve Jobs. Sure The Graphics Group may have produced the kind of material we see from Pixar today, but even then it wouldn’t be the same without Steve Jobs getting Disney involved. Happy birthday 56th birthday Steve Jobs, and thank you for all that you have done with Pixar.
